Bus Tour Schedule

Mare Island Docent-Guided Bus Tour: $25/person.

Sunday, Oct 8: Offered two times at 11AM or 1PM.

Come join us on a special, in-depth, two-hour dive into the history of Mare Island by luxury bus. Hosted by the Mare Island Historic Park Foundation and beginning in the Historic Core just out side Savage & Cooke Distillery (1097 Nimitz Ave, Mare Island, CA, 94592), you will board a 27 passenger luxury bus and enjoy docent-narrated history as we make our way around the Island, and step off the bus—and into history—at key iconic sites, as well as some sites only opened for this tour! Tour highlights include: “Wendy the Welder" Building 116, the “Industrial Cathedral” Building 271, the Mare Island Cemetery, the cold war's “Pink Palace”, and Alden Park. Note: there is approximately 100 yards of walking over uneven ground during this tour.
